Car-Toon’s Carwash Design Report

Car-Toon’s Carwash is a small business based in Langley, BC that sells wash services and add-on cleaning items. To increase the efficiency of the business and better track trends in customer data, a new information system has been proposed.

The new proposed system consists primarily of an online ordering module and an inventory management module. The online ordering module allows customers to create an account, place orders online, and track loyalty points. The inventory management system allows staff to check inventory levels and trends, and place orders with suppliers.

This report outlines a system walkthrough of the various web pages and forms found in the online ordering module and the inventory management module. It also includes an implementation plan for the business that covers the conversion strategy, hardware and software specification, and change management measures.
